I believe that the primary reason our world is so unhealthy is because we have been approaching it from the wrong perspective.
That poor perspective has to do with over-simplified models of how and why poor health and disease arise and the actions we can take to address it.
Being a healthy individual involves overcoming challenges involving high levels of complexity. This means, when it comes to understanding what it means to make healthier decisions, the number of factors involved are far greater than we could ever comprehend.
Because of these over-simplified frameworks that we use to help others become healthier - the ones that include specific diets based on cherry-picked data, specific exercise plans, and more - are doomed to continue to fail us.
Let's change this up by embracing a new approach - one that appreciates the high complexity of any health-conscious decision and applies it to you, as the unique individual that you are.
The Journey to Better Health may be filled with complex challenges, but that doesn't mean that becoming a healthier individual needs to be all that complicated.
